My forwarder to @gmail.com is being blocked or bounced

If you are using the email forwarding feature, which automatically redirected all incoming messages for your domain email address to a Gmail based address you may find that your messages are bounced, blocked or refused delivery by Google's servers.

We suggest that you change to Gmail's convenient feature called "Check email from other accounts" that allows you to access emails from multiple accounts within your Gmail interface.

The process to set up "Check email from other accounts" in your Gmail account is as follows.

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select "See all settings".
  3. In the Settings menu, navigate to the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Locate the "Check mail from other accounts" section and click on "Add an email account."
  5. A new window will appear. Enter the email address you want to link and click "Next."
  6. Choose the appropriate options for importing emails. You can select whether to import all existing emails or only new ones. You may also choose to leave copies of retrieved messages on the server.
  7. Click "Next".
  8. Configure the additional settings according to your preferences. You can choose to label incoming messages, apply filters, and more.
  9. Finally, click on "Add Account" to complete the setup process.

Once you have successfully added your email account using the "Check email from other accounts" feature, Gmail will start retrieving emails from that account periodically. You should at this point remove the forwarder.

You can access these emails directly within your Gmail inbox, making it easier to manage multiple accounts from a single interface.

If you have any questions or encounter any difficulties during the setup process, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@myhost.nz.

We believe that this change will enhance your email experience and simplify your email management process.
