These instructions are for Softaculous, which is not available in all Web Hosting accounts. All Web Hosting customers can install WordPress with cPanel's WP Toolkit.
We use Softaculuous auto-installer to make it easier for you to the most common php frameworks/software on the internet.
This article talks about how to use Softaculous on our cPanel.
- Log on to cPanel
- Click on the icon "Softaculous" to go to the selection page
a. Alternatively you can go to the bottom under the heading "Softaculous Apps Installer" and click the script you would like to install straight away. - Once in the selection page, you can select WordPress on the "Top Scripts" or do a search on the upper right hand side. It will auto complete your search and show you the results.
- Click on WordPress once it pops up.
- In the Wordpress Page, you should have an "Install" button around the top headings of the page on the right hand side.
- Click "Install" and fill out the form on the next page
- Once all the information and settings have been filled out and selected, click "Install" at the bottom of the page and the install shall start
a. You might want to fill out the field "Email installation details to:" in order to have a record of the details that you've set up on this page for future reference. - Wait for the progress to finish
Once done, enjoy your new Wordpress Installation on http://yourdomain.co.nz/wpdirectory

Joomla and other scripts will be very similar to these steps. WordPress was used as an example for the purposes of this article.
