Two-factor authentication (2FA) is now compulsory for all MyHost accounts. If your account isn’t currently protected by 2FA, the next time you log in you'll be required to set up 2FA.
You can choose between two 2FA methods:
- App-based: Get codes through an authenticator app like Google Authenticator.
- Email verification: Get one time passwords emailed to the email you use to log in to MyHost.
Our Knowledgebase has step-by-step instructions for changing your 2FA settings. You can read more about why we’ve made this change in the blog.
Security questions removed
As part of these changes, we've removed security questions from MyHost. Previously, this optional security feature required you to answer a security question whenever you made changes to your account. For example: "What was your childhood nickname?". This only affects customers who'd already set up a security question. Any security questions previously set on your account will now be superseded by 2FA, as it's a stronger security measure.
